Throughout the year staff at Colchester Zoo's UmPhafa Reserve ensure that we have a number of Camera traps out on the reserve. They readily change the camera locations to ensure that a diverse view of what animals are out and about is captured. Often by having these cameras out photos are captured of animals that are rarely and sometimes never actual seen with by those on the reserve!
Many animals are naturally shy so by placing unobtrusive 
cameras we end up with some great and often very funny shots. The animals are often intrigued by the cameras but it is clear to see that this is not out of any kind of fear they are just being a bit nosey. This can lead to some great selfies as you can see!
