Sadly on 23rd December 2015 the Lost Madagascar Express Road Train and it's station were destroyed in a fire. We are pleased to say that at no point were any animals or staff in danger. Since then the train has been closed whilst our team work hard to get the area cleaned up and ready to reopen.
Our train will once again be taking passengers to and from our lemur walkthough whilst reconstruction of the station will take place at a later stage.
We have been overwhelmed with supportive comments since the incident, we are honoured to have such loyal visitors of Colchester Zoo. Thank you from all the staff and animals at Colchester Zoo!
