Our twins have been named!

Introducing:
Loki and Thor – twin boys born to mum Bow
Rogue and Logan – 1 girl and 1 boy born to mum Gretchen
And last but not least and thank you for all of your suggestions which helped keepers choose Cupid’s twin daughters names - Harmony and Hope!

All 3 pairs of twin pygmy goat kids were born between the 11th and 13th of March and can be seen exploring the Colenso Village at our Familiar Friends area.

These adorable kids each take after their mum in colouring and it is great to see them all playing, bleating and jumping together! Check out this short video of the kids below:

Female pygmy goats are called Does and male goats are called Bucks, unlike some other goat species they are not grazers, instead they eat branches of leaves and twigs rather than grass and enjoy eating hay too. When fully grown, our 6 young goats will stand no taller than 18 inches and weigh approximately 40-60 pounds.

Stop by Colenso Village in the Familiar friend’s area of the zoo to see if you can spot the new kids!
