Please be aware that road improvements on the B1022 (Maldon Road) outside Colchester Zoo’s main entrance/exit have been scheduled by Essex Highways to begin on Monday 21^st January 2019.

We expect that this work may cause some delays on entering and exiting Colchester Zoo so please bare this in mind when planning your journey to and from the zoo.

The work taking place is to create a right hand turning into the zoo to assist with traffic flow following the increase in local traffic.
