Following the move of our Patas & Colobus monkeys to their new home in September 2018 at our recently developed ‘Out of Africa’ enclosure. We are excited to announce that as of Monday 11th March we will be starting work on the extension of our Pygmy hippo’s indoor area at Kingdom of the Wild, which will involve a much larger area for them to explore. We will also be updating some of our aquariums in the building at the same time.

The Pygmy hippos will still be visible in their indoor area whilst the works takes place. It is expected that the work will take approximately 2-3 weeks and whilst the work is taking place there will be minor disruptions in the Kingdom of the Wild building including no access to Vulture Valley however, vultures can still be seen at the World of Wings enclosure.

We do apologise for any inconvenience caused but we thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
