HELLO! WELCOME TO COLCHESTER ZOO

Conservation at Home

It’s not just helping the larger species of wildlife that is important, we have to look after the smaller and native species too!

You can help by getting hands on and creative for nature at home! Encouraging wildlife into your own garden is a great way to help conservation; it’s also a great way to let your creative side run wild, not just on your own but with friends and family too!

We will be giving you tips and tricks on how you can use everyday household items to support the bugs, birds and other interesting wildlife in your garden! We use these helpful hints ourselves on the nature reserve here at the zoo so we can assure you that they work!
