As the New Year begins, Colchester Zoo’s UmPhafa Reserve welcomes another intern and the first for 2015! Arriving on the 1st January Anru has now begun his 1 year work placement at UmPhafa.

The aim of his placement is to gain practical experience in a wide range of Conservation Management. With a work schedule provided by his tutors Anru will be covering various aspects of reserve management working through the schedule to ensure that all of the modules are completed. He will also be assisting the reserves project coordinators and security team, all of which will go towards the completion of the practical component of his diploma.

Anru’s aim is to work within an Endangered Species Management role and it is hoped his time at UmPhafa will help him reach this goal!
