Just like humans the animals at Colchester Zoo have to go to the dentist!

Every few months the zoo is visited by Harley Street Dentist Peter Kertesz. Peter is qualified as a human dentist who usually works at his busy London practice treating humans, but having founded ZooDent in 1985 he is also internationally known for his work in veterinary dentist care.  

On his most recent visit to Colchester Zoo, Peter had a number of unusual patients including one of our sloths, a llama, gibbon and a hyrax who all needed a check-up on their teeth!
